Thank you for your interest in Smithwood Baptist Church.  Nestled in the heart of the Fountain City community, Smithwood Baptist Church is building on a rich heritage as a community of Christian faith as we seek to meet the needs of our ever-changing world.  When you visit Smithwood, you will find people of every generation worshipping the One, True, God of the Ages.  As a church, we seek to live out the mandate set forth by Jesus himself:  to go into every part of the world, teaching others about the love of Christ.  Through authentic and vibrant worship, provoking Biblical teaching, small group Bible study and discipleship, we prayerfully work together to expand God's Kingdom here on earth.  Below we have provided information regarding what to expect when you visit our church, as well as links to our Staff, Service Times and Ministries information for all ages.  In addition, you will find many things that we cannot describe on this site, such as the love of Christ and community. What to expect:

Everyone is welcome at Smithwood Baptist Church.  You will find people from all walks and ages of life in everything from jeans to suits.  Services times are offered throughout the week.  On Sundays we offer Sunday School at 9:30am for all ages, followed by our blended worship service at 10:45am.  Sunday nights we have Contemporary worship and small groups at 5:30pm and a Traditional Service at 6:00pm.  Greeters will be sure to meet you in the parking lots on Sunday mornings to help you find your way.  While visiting make sure to stop by the Welcome Center to find out more about Sunday School classes, news, events, and a free gift!
