Love God, Love People, Make Disciples

  “Courageous” Bible Study

We are starting a Bible Study based on the movie Courageous to be held starting Sunday Night February 26th and Wednesday Night February 22nd. The Sunday Night and Wednesday Night are two separate sessions. If you attend one, you don't need to attend the other.

If you have not seen the movie, please contact Mark Johnson (Cell 865-599-9519 or email markj@lumencontrol.net) so that we can loan a copy to you or host another viewing. Please also contact Mark about the materials needed for the study.

A Facebook page has been created where those who use Facebook can interact during the week if desired.

Just a reminder...

As we start the New Year, reservations MUST BE MADE or CANCELLED by Monday for Wednesday Night Fellowship Meals. The ladies purchase the food on Monday afternoon and begin the meal preparation process on Tuesday. In order to be good stewards of finances, it is important that they have an accurate head count of those attending each and every week.

Operation Inasmuch Saturday, April 21, 2012

Several churches in the Fountain City community will once again work together on Saturday, April 21, 2012 to provide various services as a reflection of God’s love for others. Wayne Kirk has graciously agreed to be the representative for Smithwood Baptist Church. We will have more details on Operation Inasmuch in the coming weeks.

The Church Library currently has two copies of Dr. Crutch- ley’s new book, “Assaulted by Grief,” available.

The purpose of this book is simply to touch the messy world of grief. It offers a series of clinical pastoral responses to those assaulted by grief and a collection of theological possibilities drawn from the biblical texts that engage those who find themselves in the broken places or those who reach out to those floundering in the vortex of life's ultimate losses. If you would like to purchase a copy, they are available in the church office for $15 each.

Chance to Serve!!!

We are in need of volunteers for the Club House, our worship service for 3 & 4 year olds. Please contact Amanda Livingston @ 640-5675.

Corporate Prayer Meeting Each Sunday Morning

We will hold a weekly prayer meeting each Sunday morning from 8:30-9:15 a.m. in the Conference Room to pray for our church. No sermon or lesson, just individual and corporate prayer in this time of trials. Any who feel led to be there are welcome.

Montana Mission Trip: June 30th - July 7th

There will be short informational meeting March 11th directly following the morning service in the Cobble Room. This is just to get info in your hand and a time to ask any questions concerning this trip.
